            <p>Welcome to Roam Local Events! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Roam Local Events application and website (the "Service") provided by Roam Local Events ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using our Service, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, you may not use the Service.</p>

            <h3 class="mt-4">1. Acceptance of Terms</h3>
            <p>By accessing or using Roam Local Events, you agree to be bound by these Terms, as well as our <a href="/privacy">Privacy Policy</a>. Your use of the Service constitutes your acceptance of these Terms. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time, and your continued use of the Service following the posting of revised Terms signifies your acceptance of the updated Terms.</p>

            <h3 class="mt-4">2. Use of the Service</h3>
            <h5>a. Eligibility</h5>
            <p>You must be at least 13 years old to use Roam Local Events. By using our Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this eligibility requirement and that all information you provide is accurate and truthful.</p>

            <p>The Service is provided for personal and non-commercial use only. You agree not to use the Service for any illegal, fraudulent, or unauthorized purpose, or in any way that violates applicable federal, state, or local laws and regulations.</p>

            <p>If you register an account with Roam Local Events, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to safeguard your account information.</p>

            <h5>d. Geographic Scope</h5>
            <p>Roam Local Events is designed and operated for users in the San Angelo, Texas area. If you are accessing the Service from outside this region, you do so at your own risk and are responsible for complying with local laws.</p>

            <h3 class="mt-4">3. Event Information and Event Organizers</h3>
            <h5>a. Event Data Accuracy</h5>
            <p>Event organizers and venues are solely responsible for the accuracy, completeness, legality, and appropriateness of event information they provide to Roam Local Events, including event titles, descriptions, dates, times, locations, and pricing. Roam Local Events aggregates event information from publicly available sources and event organizers but does not verify the accuracy of this information.</p>

            <h5>b. Event Organizer Liability</h5>
            <p>Roam Local Events is not responsible for:</p>
            <ul>
                <li>The accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of event information provided by organizers or public sources.</li>
                <li>Event cancellations, postponements, rescheduling, or venue changes made by event organizers.</li>
                <li>The conduct, products, services, or safety practices of event organizers, venues, or third parties.</li>
                <li>Any disputes, claims, or injuries arising from your attendance at or participation in any event.</li>
                <li>The quality, legality, or appropriateness of events or event content.</li>
            </ul>

            <h5>c. Your Attendance Responsibility</h5>
            <p>By attending any event listed on Roam Local Events, you assume all risks and agree to comply with the event organizer's rules, policies, and requirements. Event organizers are responsible for their own terms, privacy practices, and safety standards regarding event attendees.</p>

            <h5>d. Event Data Sharing</h5>
            <p>When you RSVP to, favorite, or otherwise interact with an event, your name, email address, and event interaction details are shared with the event organizer or their designated representative for event management purposes. Event organizers' use of this information is governed by their privacy policies, not this Terms of Service.</p>

            <h3 class="mt-4">4. User-Generated Content</h3>
            <p>You may have the ability to submit content, such as comments, reviews, event listings, or feedback ("User Content"). By submitting User Content, you agree to the following:</p>
            <ul>
                <li><strong>Content Ownership and License:</strong> You retain ownership of your User Content, but you grant Roam Local Events a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual license to use, display, reproduce, modify, distribute, and create derivative works from your content within the Service and for promotional purposes.</li>
                <li><strong>Content Standards:</strong> You agree not to submit any User Content that is: defamatory, libelous, slanderous, offensive, abusive, harassing, threatening, obscene, hateful, discriminatory, or violates any law or regulation. You agree not to submit content that infringes upon any intellectual property rights of third parties.</li>
                <li><strong>Content Removal:</strong> We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to remove, disable, or modify any User Content that we deem inappropriate, offensive, unlawful, or in violation of these Terms without prior notice or liability to you.</li>
                <li><strong>Responsibility for Content:</strong> You are solely responsible for your User Content and any consequences resulting from its submission. Roam Local Events does not endorse or assume any responsibility for User Content submitted by other users.</li>

            <p>You agree not to engage in any of the following prohibited activities:</p>
            <ul>
                <li>Accessing the Service in a manner that imposes an unreasonable or disproportionately large load on our infrastructure, such as automated scraping, bots, or excessive requests.</li>
                <li>Attempting to interfere with, disrupt, or disable the proper functioning of the Service, including hacking, introducing viruses, or using malicious code.</li>
                <li>Collecting, harvesting, or aggregating data from the Service without our express written permission, including automated data scraping and crawling.</li>
                <li>Impersonating any person or entity or falsely stating or misrepresenting your affiliation with a person or organization.</li>
                <li>Engaging in harassment, bullying, threats, abuse, or discriminatory behavior toward other users or organizers.</li>
                <li>Posting spam, unsolicited advertising, or promotional content without authorization.</li>
                <li>Attempting to gain unauthorized access to restricted areas of the Service or other users' accounts.</li>
                <li>Using the Service to deceive, defraud, or mislead other users or organizers.</li>

            <h3 class="mt-4">7. External Links and Third-Party Services</h3>
            <p>The Service may contain links to third-party websites, applications, social media platforms, and services, including but not limited to Facebook, Google, and other event sources. We do not endorse, control, or assume any responsibility for these third-party services, their content, or their privacy practices. Your interaction with third-party services is governed by their respective terms of service and privacy policies. We are not liable for any damage, loss, or negative consequences arising from your use of third-party services or your reliance on third-party information.</p>

            <h3 class="mt-4">8. Disclaimer of Warranties</h3>
            <p>The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied. Roam Local Events explicitly disclaims all warranties, including but not limited to:</p>

                <li>Warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.</li>
                <li>The accuracy, completeness, reliability, and timeliness of event information and event data.</li>
                <li>The quality, safety, legality, or appropriateness of events listed on the Service.</li>
                <li>The uninterrupted or error-free operation of the Service.</li>
                <li>That the Service will meet your expectations or requirements.</li>
            </ul>
            <p>We do not guarantee the accuracy of event information obtained from public sources or event organizers. Use of the Service is at your own risk.</p>

            <h3 class="mt-4">9. Limitation of Liability</h3>
            <p>To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Roam Local Events and its officers, directors, employees, agents, and licensors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages, including but not limited to damages for loss of profits, goodwill, use, data, or other intangible losses, arising from or resulting from:</p>

                <li>Your access to or use of, or inability to access or use, the Service.</li>
                <li>Any conduct or content of third parties, including event organizers and other users.</li>
                <li>Event information, event organization, or event execution by organizers or venues.</li>
                <li>Your attendance at or participation in any event.</li>
                <li>Any unauthorized access to or use of our servers or any personal information stored therein.</li>
                <li>Any interruption or cessation of transmission to or from the Service.</li>
            </ul>
            <p>If you are dissatisfied with the Service, your sole remedy is to cease using the Service. Some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on liability, so this limitation may not apply to you.</p>

            <h3 class="mt-4">10. Indemnification</h3>
            <p>You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Roam Local Events and its officers, directors, employees, agents, licensors, and service providers from and against any third-party claims, actions, damages, losses, liabilities, expenses, and costs (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from or related to:</p>

                <li>Your User Content or any content you submit to the Service.</li>
                <li>Your attendance at, participation in, or interaction with any event or event organizer.</li>
                <li>Your violation of any applicable law, regulation, or third-party rights.</li>
                <li>Any injury, death, or property damage arising from your attendance at an event.</li>
            </ul>

            <h3 class="mt-4">11. Account Termination and Suspension</h3>
            <h5>a. Our Right to Terminate</h5>
            <p>We reserve the right to suspend, disable, or terminate your account at any time, in our sole discretion, if we believe you have violated these Terms, engaged in prohibited activities, or otherwise acted in a manner we deem inappropriate or harmful to the Service or other users. Examples include, but are not limited to:</p>
            <ul>
                <li>Repeated violation of the prohibited activities listed in Section 5.</li>
                <li>Harassment or abuse of other users or event organizers.</li>
                <li>Submission of fraudulent, defamatory, or infringing content.</li>
                <li>Unauthorized access attempts or security threats.</li>
            </ul>

            <h5>b. Effect of Termination</h5>
            <p>Upon termination or suspension of your account:</p>
            <ul>
                <li>Your access to the Service will be immediately revoked.</li>
                <li>You will no longer receive event notifications or communications from Roam Local Events.</li>
                <li>Event organizers may still retain your information if they received it prior to termination.</li>
                <li>We may retain your data as required by law or for legitimate business purposes, including dispute resolution.</li>
            </ul>

            <h5>c. Account Deletion</h5>
            <p>You may request deletion of your account at any time by contacting us. We will process deletion requests within 30 days, though some information may be retained for legal compliance, fraud prevention, or legitimate business purposes.</p>

            <h3 class="mt-4">12. Changes to the Service</h3>
            <p>We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part thereof) at any time with or without notice. We are not liable for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service. If we permanently discontinue the Service, we will attempt to provide notice and allow reasonable time for you to retrieve your information.</p>

            <h3 class="mt-4">13. Mobile Application Terms</h3>
            <p>If you use Roam Local Events as a mobile application, the following additional terms apply:</p>
            <ul>
                <li><strong>App Store Compliance:</strong> This Service must comply with the terms and policies of the applicable app store (Apple App Store, Google Play Store, etc.). If there is a conflict between those terms and these Terms, the app store's terms will control.</li>
                <li><strong>Device Permissions:</strong> To provide location-based event recommendations, the Service may request access to your device's location services, push notifications, camera, contacts, and other resources. You can manage these permissions through your device settings at any time.</li>
                <li><strong>Automatic Updates:</strong> We may automatically update the mobile application to fix bugs, add features, or improve performance. You acknowledge and agree that such automatic updates may occur.</li>
                <li><strong>Device Compatibility:</strong> We are not responsible for any damage to your device or loss of data resulting from the use or download of the Service.</li>
            </ul>

            <h3 class="mt-4">14. User Rights and Privacy Requests</h3>
            <ul>
                <li><strong>Access Your Data:</strong> You may request access to your personal data by contacting us at the email address below.</li>
                <li><strong>Data Export:</strong> You may request a copy of your personal data in a portable format by contacting us.</li>

            <p>These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of law principles. You agree that any legal action or proceeding arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Tom Green County, Texas.
